When we started this adoption process in 2005 I knew we were going to grow our family. I just didn't completely know how much we would grow our family!
When the wait to adopt from China started to lengthen we went in search of other adoptive parents who would understand all that we were feeling. I found someone in our April group who was using the same adoption agency as us and I sent her an email.
We corresponded for a while and found we had many things in common, the biggest of course was that we would be flying to China together to bring home our daughters and at the time neither one of us had any children of our own.
We soon started to visit each other and before our adoption would give us a daughter, it gave me someone who would become like a sister to me. I am amazed by how our friendship has grown from a simple email to lives that are now so entwined we will be lifelong friends and sisters!
Michele and her hubby came to visit with their little guy "jammer" over the Labor Day Weekend and as usual we had three and a half days filled with lots of chatter, lots of laughter, and lots of food!
